Daniel Oliver Taylor (born February 24) better known by his stage name, D.O, and in his earlier high school years, known as "Tisky", is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. D.O was born and raised in Gary Indiana until he made the move to Hollywood, CA in April 2007 to pursue his career as a musician and actor. He began being part of the high energy Hip Hop duo Rekkless in 2007, alongside his brother, fellow rapper, Jizzle.
At a very young age Daniel knew he wanted to be an entertainer. He started writing music as early as the age of seven years old and started acting by the age of eight, acting in several church and school plays, usually scoring the leading role. In college, Daniel focused a lot on writing music and performing shows as a solo artist at local venues in Vinncennes, Indiana. He also continued to land leading roles in college shows and local production films.
In April 2007, same time when D.O moved to Hollywood and brought his younger brother Jizzle with him, he founded and became the CEO of Rekkless Records, an independent record label. Since then Rekkless has been a powerhouse in the music business, catching the attention of many fans and people affiliated and working in the music industry. D.O has hosted and performed his high energy Hip Hop anthems from Long Beach to Hollywood, where Industry insiders have seen live his upbeat and friendly personality as he brings down the house.
In 2010 Daniel Taylor chose to take his career solo and continue his success as a solo artist using his stage name D.O. What separates D.O from other artists, is his focus on positive, influential and uplifting music. D.O's music and his theatrical performances will make you want to dance and laugh at the same time. His music can be heard on urban, soul and pop airwaves across the United States and in select Countries (Canada, U.K, Ghana, Philippins, China, and many more)...
